An odyssey to pilani

yippiee !!! its 2010 ,new year giving every reason to believe its going to be bigger and b8r .no doubt 2009 proved to be the year of comeback or resurrection of Indian economy with sensex surging and witnessing upper cut market close(i jst used to think can such ever actually happen , yes indeed , i saw the modus opernadi unfolding infront my eyes the day after election) .Indian railways for me, also emulaing last year performance. it seems Indian railways offers you umpteen reasons to whine .for instance last year. my train to delhi was arnd 12 hours late. after so many hiccups , dilly dallying.., accidents, incidents of ramming of goods train 2 passenger trains.. indian railways promised safer journey to us last year with so many enquiry and committees being setup to come up with the solution. guess what was the aftermath of those things .this tym, this tym 3 accidents in a single day ,and my train got cancelled on its day of departure. jst incase , i am sounding too obstreperous all the trains 2 dat route got cancelled.here is a rundown to the turn of events. 1 came 2 know trains got cancelled at 11 p.m. then suddenly swarnajyanti came 2 rescue despite being always on the receiving end of passenger's scorn due to its reputation of procrastinating already full day journey to more than 30hour journey. However one the few trains where u can get ticket even on the last day w/o tadkal quota or even after stepping in the coach .wtf by the time my slow internet could process my accounts and payments it was already past 11:30.... and the msg ur transaction could nt be completed popped up on the screen. so either sleep and wake up at 5 (irctc site off for these hours)or make a nitout to be on the safer side.. much of bitsian life.. everytime thrill and adventure of bitsian life used to to get started from isbt bus stand.but this this tym it started sitting in my home itself. This year was no exception.newaz it wasn’t as dreary as phophesized and train was just five hours late belying all the expectations.Even if i reached delhi 1300km away back home after next 200 km to Pilani seemed equally distant. Boarding a Volvo for Pilani from Delhi was always a dream and it came true but not the way expected. After failing to persuade the cab driver for night journey to an unheard place Pilani under thick blanket of fog,we were mentally prepared for late registration. finally we found a Volvo bus as serendipity ,on its way to Pilani .and we around twenty five people booked whole volvo bus !!!.though the journey did cost 400 bucks , but I guess it was worth it.
